Q. Our board is wondering, in light of the Palm II ruling, if a condo board must vote in an open meeting to take collection action against a unit.

Can the board put a policy in place for a standard procedure to address delinquencies instead of having to vote on every account that is sent for collection attention? 

A. The Palm II ruling clarified many issues around board communication, particularly the need for associaiton business to be discussed in an open meeting. When it comes to the board's responsibility to address delinquent accounts,
