Q. I'm the owner of a condo unit that I rent. Unfortunately, the tenant has been causing problems for the other owners/tenants in the building and has even been damaging property as a result of a personal relationship gone sour.

The tenant's lease has not been renewed and I'm in the process of legally evicting him. However, the board is asking me to come to the property with police to forcefully remove the tenant. Is this a reasonable request?

A. Condo units are often considered very attractive investment properties. The sub-prime mortgage crisis of 2007-2010 resulted in a large number of foreclosures, and many of those units re-sold to investors who now rent the properties for income.
